Why do some people take offence at any utterance made by others? While I expect this is nothing new and it has been thus for many, many years, it has certainly (self-?)elevated to prominence through the vast communication network that exists through social and core media outlets. Perhaps there hides in these people an underlying ego-centricity, possibly cloaking a lack of self-esteem, and which is verging on the addictive. Sometimes it’s hard not to feel for those afflicted.
